Publishing Services

A primary goal of our Indigenous press is to streamline services so that the majority of royalties goes to authors—we facilitate blind peer reviews, provide full editing services and layout for manuscripts, and publish on various digital platforms, as well as sell print copies from our site.

Graphic design, images, and original artwork for book covers, interior book design, are available for an additional fee.

Copy Editing Services

We have extensive training and experience in copy editing scholarly and creative writing (book manuscripts, chapters, articles, essays, stories, poetry, MA theses and PhD dissertations), and use that training and experience to provide consultation and/or editing services for book manuscripts, articles, essays, dissertations, and master theses, etc.

Research Services

Our research services focus on primary source Hawaiian-language materials. This includes digitized and archival Hawaiian language newspapers. Due to current Covid restrictions, access to Bishop Museum Archives, the State of Hawai'i Archives, and other archives, is limited.

Translation Services

Our focus is on the translation of Hawaiian-language materials (e.g., newspaper articles and series) into English.

Cultural Consulting

We provide Hawaiian language and culture consultation on Hawaiʻi-related projects, such as initiatives, businesses, web sites, movies, digital media, etc.
